Canada’s Heart is Calling.

With a refreshed brand for the province ready to go, Travel Manitoba needed to make a big impact at launch.

After UpHouse Inc. had created an incredible new provincial tourism brand for Travel Manitoba, they enlisted our team at Grape Labs to help with the launch event, design merch, and curate local brand partnerships.

In order to successfully sell branded clothing and accessories for the first time, it was important the items felt more like a cohesive clothing line than corporate merch. For the brand partnerships, we worked with respected local makers to create products they felt represented Manitoba in their own way. Media coverage noted the strong connection between the products, and the provinces refreshed brand.

The launch event was attended by dozens of media outlets and influencers, who got to watch the brand revealed white they ate Manitoba-inspired food, and saw the room change moods dramatically upon reveal of the new brand. After the presentation, attendees could purchase the new products out of the travelling merch booth, and the registers were ringing.

This project won a Effie Awards Bronze in the Travel & Tourism category for UpHouse Inc. My involvement was in the launch event plan, merchandise and trade show booth design, and brand partnerships.
